Gold Coast Marathon & Half Marathon Training Program is here!

With the growing demand for run-specific coaching, we’re excited to officially launch Rebound’s dedicated running programs, starting with the Gold Coast Marathon & Half Marathon Training Programs.

After years of coaching endurance athletes across triathlon and long-distance events, this felt like the natural next step.The same community-first approach and structured coaching philosophy Rebound is known for - now fully focused on running performance as well.

This program is built for pure runnerstriathletes who want to prioritise their run, and anyone who enjoys using optional cross-training (cycling or swimming) to support their running goals. Running remains the priority, with cross-training being able to be used strategically to improve durability, aerobic capacity, and long-term consistency.

This is a community-focused, race-specific training program designed to prepare you for the Gold Coast Marathon or Half Marathon - while keeping training enjoyable, sustainable, and purposeful. It’s not just about race day.It’s about building confidence, training with intention, and arriving on the start line feeling prepared - physically and mentally.

This program supports a wide range of athletes, including:

  • Runners preparing for their first half or full marathon
  • Experienced runners looking for structure and consistency
  • Sub-elite athletes chasing performance-focused goals
  • Triathletes wanting a smarter, more focused run build
  • Athletes who train exclusively on foot
  • Athletes who value cross-training as part of their run preparation

No matter where you’re starting from, the program adapts to your experience, background, and goals.

Training follows a shared foundation, with clear race-specific adjustments in the final weeks to ensure you peak at the right time for your chosen event.The program is delivered through a structured, periodised build over 3-6 months, allowing fitness to develop gradually and sustainably. This approach reduces injury risk, improves consistency, and helps you arrive at race day strong, confident, and mentally prepared. And most importantly - training is meant to be fun.

Lead-up race opportunities. Shorter races in the build-up to your A race play a key role in performance. They help to:

  • Raise your speed ceiling
  • Improve running economy
  • Make race pace feel more controlled
  • Sharpen race skills and confidence
  • Improve fitness without the deep fatigue of longer tune-up races

Optional Lead-Up Events Include (all optional):

  • QLD State 3000m Championships - March 1
  • BRRC 10km - April 19
  • Noosa Half Marathon - May 23
  • Brisbane Half Marathon - June 7

Cost:

  • FREE until March 15th
  • Run only membership - $22/week
  • Run + Cross Training membership - $29/week

In person run sessions:

  • Tuesday AM
  • Thursday AM
  • Saturday AM
