If you’ve ever met Kent, the founder of Rebound Club, you’ll know he’s as humble as they come. But dig a little deeper and you’ll uncover a story that’s anything but ordinary - and truly inspiring.
Recently, Kent hasn’t been able to stay out of the spotlight, making headlines in Italy, Japan, the UK, and now in the Tempo Journal, who’ve just dropped an in-depth piece on his journey from a pack-a-day-smoker to a front-pack killer.
The birth of Rebound Club
After losing his father in 2019 and hitting rock bottom, Kent turned to exercise as a way to cope during his toughest hours. It was during this time that he also hit his biggest Rebound finding running, cycling, and swimming. From his first half marathon to a full Ironman, he used movement to channel his grief into purpose.
As he uncovered the life-changing benefits of community, consistency, and chasing bold goals, Kent embarked on a life-long mission to get people moving and pushing themselves. He started Rebound Club as a small weekly run with close friends from the hospitality world. Fast forward to today, and it’s grown into a thriving triathlon and running community with members spread across Australia and Japan.
What Rebound Club looked like in the early days:
Kent's mission
Kent’s mission remains the same: to show that no matter how low you may go, there’s always a chance to Rebound. Through movement, Rebound invites others to experience the feeling of pushing yourself to achieve something you never thought possible - whether it’s a 5km race or an Ironman event. Everyone’s journey is different, but the feeling is the same.
It’s been a wild ride for Kent. One thing’s for certain, his dad would be looking down glowing with pride.
